This includes the way in which our service to our society can incorporate the highly-valued relationship between humans which Rotary members have experienced during previous times. The motto "hands face space" is a crucial element of our routine however, it is evident that there is a growing optimism and the need to be face-to-face with people. However, the nature of Rotary has evolved. In the months leading up to summer 2021, there's still a lot of uncertainty regarding what we can do to provide services to our community, which involves the importance of human connection valued by Rotary former members. Although the phrase "hands-in-space" is undoubtedly part of our routines but it's clear that confidence is growing and there are more face-toface interactions. Rotary, however, has evolved. Rotary network is a great way to make lasting friendships. The pandemic has prompted us to improve our technological methods. Our business remains on the internet, while introducing a new social and service activity. To create an exciting new future, we've seized the new possibilities and merged them with the most efficient pre-pandemic practices. In a recent Rotary survey, we were encouraged to find that 75% of clubs have started making plans for their "business as usual' events" The warmer months have seen many club members on the move, focusing on projects such as cleaning the beach and river, litter picking, and of course the ongoing service to the society of Rotary volunteer teams giving their time to support COVID testing and vaccination centers. While I'm extremely proud that the Rotary Centre continues to support various community-based projects that help the members of Rotary and keep them safe Compliance and insurance is essential. It is amazing that our Rotarians are able to find innovative and creative solutions to some of the most difficult challenges. This is the reason I was so happy to have the chance to join Rotary when I joined in the year 2002. As with many others, Rotary have provided me with an extremely reliable network of likeminded people from which genuine friendships have grown over the past 20 years.
